No half measures poured on afternoon stop - finally made day trip bearable

点评：Having endured the constant and needless passive aggression of two individuals towards our well-behaved 8YO son, our day trip thankfully took a much-needed upturn when we stopped here for a brief tour and extensive tasting.
You need to come here because our guides were friendly and the servers poured measures of rum, brandy and other liqueurs with all sorts of flavours (milk, honey, aniseed, pineapple etc). When you get many free tots, I don't mind paying 12.50 euro for buying a litre bottle onsite (9 euro in PDL) when your hosts regularly charge your glass and happily answer your questions on the processes involved.
On our previous visit (November 2016 - my son was 8 months old), we arrived late and only had time to buy a bottle. The anis (aniseed) liqueur tasted as good then as it does now - look out for the crystallised sugar on the inside. The brandy, rum and pineapple liqueurs all ran it close (shame about the 23kg baggage limits on Sata and Easyjet). Enjoy!
