点评：What a fabulous meal! My husband and I were in Selinunte to celebrate our anniversary. The manager of our hotel recommended Altamarea to us and we were so glad he did! We shared a plate of carpaccio for the antipasto then my husband had fettuccini in a pistachio and shrimp sauce with shaved almonds, and I had grilled octopus on creamed chickpeas with caramelized onions. Every bite of all three was exquisite. They brought olive oil for the bread and it was top notch with that beautiful peppery taste. The staff were incredibly kind. We had our little dog with us, and fully expected to have to sit on their patio. The restaurant was nearly empty at 7:30 pm (we are Canadian and have never really gotten onto eating at 9 the way the Sicilians do), and they insisted we sit inside because it was incredibly hot outside. They even brought her a little dish of water. The decor is modern and attractive. We would happily go back the next time we are in Selinunte.
