点评：We felt very much that this accommodation wasn’t yet ready for the tourist season when we stayed. Communication with the owner was difficult, with several misunderstandings about payments and our arrival time. We did not meet her as she wasn’t available until an evening at the very end of our stay when we were busy. We were met by someone who had clearly rushed away from work nearby, who spoke little English and didn’t seem to know where things were. The shower head was broken when we arrived. The apartment wasn’t especially clean and offered no toiletries. Once you’ve found the local supermarket for supplies and given the place a clean, it’s probably reasonable for a longer stay. The views from the windows over the lake are certainly lovely, but many places in Arona share similar views, as the town hugs the shoreline. Accommodation closer to the other (train station) end of town might also be better for short term tourists, making train trips to lovely Stresa quicker, though it wouldn’t be as quiet.
