Sitka Tribal Tours的点评
点评：We booked a shore excursion through Royal Caribbean, that used the vendor Sitka Tribal Tours. The excursions was to have three parts- the Raptor Center, the Historical Park and ending at the Tribal Dance Center. The tour guide, Sabrina, picked us up at the cruise terminal on Sunday, June 5. She gave us a very informative ride to the raptor center, where she left us and gave us instructions to meet back in the circle drive at an assigned time. The entire group (roughly 28 of us) met her back there, where she pick us up a few minutes late.
We were then taken to the Sitka Historical Park, and left to explore on our own. Again, with instructions to return to the circle drive at 12:20. Members of our group returned early, and witnessed Sabrina coming in and picking up 4 tour members and then driving off, stating "my shift is over, another bus will come for everyone else." (I found 2 of the 4 who were picked up, back on the boat, and they told me that this is what happened.) Those of us who were still enjoying the park, and still within the allotted time to do so, were left behind. The 24 of us remaining, gathered a few minutes before 12:20 and waited for our ride.
After about 25 minutes of Sabrina not arriving, several of us starting seeking help. I called the number listed here on Trip Advisor several times, and only got a recored message. I then sought help from the park ranger, who was able to located several other phone numbers to call- again, to only get a recored message.
After 45 minutes of waiting, and getting nowhere with reaching this company, the 24 of us that remained, walked into the downtown of Sitka.
While it was an easy walk for. most, there was a special needs man among us, and he and his sister took quite some time to return to town.
After reading all the previous reviews, having no recent ones, but so many also mentioned being left behind, I had to include yet another story of being left behind.
And, Sitka, while quaint and charming, is not a place you want to be left behind, as there were no taxi's or Ubers to rescue us- had the walk to town been impossible.
Royal Caribbean fixed this issue on their end, but it should be known that Sitka Tribal Tours did not maintain their agreement to complete the tour or get us back to our ship. Very disappointing.
