点评：The ‘candlelit ghostly walking tour’ was AWFUL.
The guide (can’t remember her name, only that she was a preschool teacher) was boring, no storytelling ability or charisma. We could have just read info from a booklet ourselves.
The itinerary was not fascinating and we walked in unappealing back alley or along the main streets full of traffic. She used a mic which further sunk the miserable walk into a commercial trap.
A red flag of what this tour would turn out to be was the incessant advertisement through a megaphone while waiting at their counter: a Luna Park feel.
In comparison, in the morning we had done a cosier tour with an excellent guide from another company. He truly immersed us in the heart of Salem, choosing far more interesting stops and used no mic.
Being an entertainer is a skill. With no passion and pride for their tradition these guys are in it for the money only, and it shows.
I strongly advice to book elsewhere.
