I love Indian food (at least what’s available in the U.S.). I have never encountered an Indian dish that was too spicy for me… until recently from Taaj Palace. The mutter paneer was too spicy. I couldn’t eat it. The dal makhani was too spicy AND had an incredible amount of raw green onions in it (that was the most offensive part). I couldn’t eat it. I ordered through Instacart, which contracted Uber Eats to deliver. I called the restaurant immediately, spoke to Rano (who, from what I understand, is the owner). She told me to bring it back and she’d remake the dishes. I told her I was unable to do that, as I am physically disabled (hence the delivery). She just kept repeating that I should come in and she’d remake it. Unfortunately, Instacart and uber eats didn’t care, and my bank didn’t even reverse the charge. So now, a disabled and broke customer just gets screwed. Thanks a lot. Never again.
