点评:If you don’t expect much from the ubiquitous Kiwi pub-grub, this place could be for you. That’s not being unkind, it’s just that the menus in rural NZ are all almost identical. Hamburgers, pork belly, lamb shank, fish and chips, chowder etc. etc. A nation boasting wonderful produce with numbingly boring menus. We ordered our two dishes at 7 pm. For those who are unaware, most NZ “restaurants” give you a number flag that you must exhibit on your table and from then on, you are on your own. 7:20 rolled around, then 7.45, then 8pm. At 8:35 one of our orders appeared, and, now wait for it, at 8:50 pm, the other dish was delivered by a cross looking young lady. The fare was no better or worse than the regional competition. As the food must be pre-paid, you can’t just walk out like in real restaurants. So, the suggestion would be to pop into the adjacent supermarket and pick up some sustenance to keep you going. A small "sorry for the long delay" would have made the experience a little less disappointing.
