Lovely situation, great service, classic 3*, some noise from outside
蒙特克内洛酒店的点评
点评：We had an excellent stay here last week. The hotel has an enviable position atop the cherry orchards above Ancona with fabulous views down over the Adriatic coast. At first glance it has the appearance of a “Parador”-type establishment because of its location within an old monastery, but this is not a luxury hotel at the end of the day - 3* is absolutely right.
The standards of welcome and service are excellent. Rooms are split over several wings – some have baths while others have showers. Some have fantastic views over the coastline. There are a few charming older rooms. The rooms are of a reasonable size, but Wi-Fi is patchy, the air-conditioning is noisy and does not function well at all, and light and sound insulation are not great. The fridge took a long time to cool items placed in it.
Breakfast is an extensive buffet with hot and cold food, plenty of options, and when the weather is right, you can sit out on the lovely terrace. Local wine is very affordable. The hotel’s location means that you really need a car to take you up and down the windy road from the small town of Sirolo below; there are a number of beaches available (some cleaner than others), and some wild walks in the countryside around the hotel. The hotel can arrange taxis, but there is no free shuttle service.
Unfortunately, there are two cafés immediately outside the hotel gates which play loud music quite late into the night. These are great venues for a snack, lunch or a cold drink but they are not so amusing when you’re trying to get to sleep. If you can, ask for a room as far from the hotel entrance as possible.
The hotel has a lovely large swimming pool open from dawn ro dusk in season.
