Fantastic friendly family run hotel

点评：We’ve stayed in a lot of hotels in our 50 year long ski career, but we think this small friendly family run Olympia is probably the nicest yet.
Pros: Spacious bright room, with balcony, masses of cupboard space, fridge, piping hot bath water, heated towel rail, big towels. TV has access to BBC/ITV/Disney etc channels. Heated ski locker with places for not only skis, but boots, helmet & gloves + hooks for poles, hurray. Genuinely ‘ski out’ from the hotel car park down to a button lift which links to a gondola and the rest of the resort. ‘Ski in’ involves an easy 7 minute walk. If you rent equipment from Sport Lohmann transport is available to the shop, and also if you need to change anything during your stay.
All the staff have been welcoming and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. An ice pack for a torn muscle? Of course. Another blanket? We’ll bring it straight away. Very sensible eco option available not to have your bed & towels changed every day.
The food is exceptional. Dinner each night has a different ‘theme’, with fun table decorations, something to look forward to. Every meal has been wonderful, the only problem is not eating too much! Post skiing tea is laid out in the Stubli, it changes every day, but always including a big bowl of fresh fruit salad. Plenty of fruit available all day.
Cons: Hhhmm, a problem thinking of any! No tea or coffee making facilities provided in the rooms.
