点评：I love the place, but their toasted bread is dangerous for teeth, especially if you have crowns. I went there with my friend for a happy hour on Thursday 7/3/2025 for our good buy drinks and snacks as I was leaving the country for a while. I loved the mussels, but their toasted bread was hard as a brick, and my friend broke his tooth on it, he found it out later as he was in pain after the visit. I had to ask for fresh bread as I have a lot of dental crowns and was scared to bite it, and nobody in Paris ever serves toasted bread, it is just not something they do in France. You have to have FRESH baguette with food, not jaw-breaking toast. I hope my friend's tooth is OK, otherwise he would have to ask their insurance to pay for his dental work. I highly advise Cafe Degas to stop serving these jaw-breaking toasts, I hate seeing a local business being sued for dental work which is crazy expensive in the USA. I am very careful with my own porcelain crowns, and I do all my dental work in Costa Rica, as it is much cheaper there, but I am super careful with what I eat, and their bread is very dangerous. If they want to protect themselves from lawsuits, they should stop serving those teeth-breaking toasts.
