点评:My wife is Portuguese and we've been wanting to try this restaurant. The reviews on here were mixed, but since it's an Emeril restaurant we thought we'd give it a shot. It did not disappoint. The service was a little slow, but I expected that with a new restaurant. For appetizers, we ordered the Jamón Croquetas and the Breads & Butters, which were excellent. For dinner, we ordered the Piri Piri Chicken and the Batatas Bravas. It was enough food for my wife and I and our two young daughters. We had just enough room for dessert and of course, had to get the Pastal Nata and we also tried the Bola de Berlim (a Portuguese donut with or without filling).
We even had a chance to met the Chef. Very interesting story of how Emeril (who is Portuguese) went on a search for Chef Chris (who was the Chef at two Michelin star restaurants in NY). This guy is the real deal. He is also a perfectionist when it comes to food presentation. We hate that we missed the restaurant's celebration of Portugal Day in June, but we will definitely be back!
