点评：First of all: do not go there with kids in tow – – it is a bar with gaming machines and no one under 21 is allowed – – per Louisiana law and completely understandable and acceptable.
However, if you order to go food for that entire family – – definitely check your order before you leave – – especially if you’re walking half a mile back to your hotel to feed a family of four.
The true signature item on the menu is the peanut butter burger – – and it’s normally very good – – I’ve had it many times before, very good beef usually perfectly prepared and wonderful comfort food on a cold New Orleans Day.
But seriously – – who cooks a to go order for peanut butter burgers and – – literally – – forgets the peanut butter. The whole point… is to have the peanut butter melted over the burger so it is a delicious gooey mess… Arrived at the hotel with two orders done correctly, but the two peanut butter burgers (wife and one kid) were completely peanut butter free.
So that leaves you with just a plain old hamburger—which is not the point form this joint. So you tur around and you walk the half mile back, where you get two cups of room temp peanut butter to smear on your (now cold) peanut butter burger when you get back to the hotel room. In fairness, the nice lady did offer to melt the peanut butter on the burgers, but at as the patties were already clearly well done (and not ordered that way), that didn’t really present a fabulous option either. So three of us ended up eating cold burgers that ruined the very reason for ordering from there in the first place…almost a complete waste of $77…. Seriously —at that point, McDonald’s would have been much more pragmatic—and saved some $60.
Still the best overcooked incorrectly prepared cold burger in NOLA history. I will go back – – but I sure as hell will not do takeout.
