点评:Thich led our tour of the Bahn It Towers + a visit to rice wine and hat artisans. He was very knowledgeable about the Champa civilization. He also provided some local insights on how the Bahn It site developed and what it was like growing up near them. His childhood stories added a lot of color to the tourist site. When we visited the home of the rice wine makers and the hat makers, it was wonderful to see the respect Thich had for them and the clear appreciation they had for him. He loves Quy Nhon and it's mutual.
We didn't end up purchasing any items from either artisan. We appreciated that there was no pressure to buy anything.
Our tour involved a fair amount of time in the car and Thich was a fount of knowledge, very willing to share his thoughts on Vietnam's culture, history, and people. Our driver was shy, but very skilled!
We ended our tour with lunch at a local spot. Thich consulted us on dietary restrictions and asked permission to order for us. Then he showed us the local way to eat. We had a delicious, filling meal.
All in all, it stands out as a high point of our time in Quy Nhon. We loved our tour (and our tour guide!)
