点评：We came to visit the historic area of Fredericksburg on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 on our journey of driving through Virginia. Found a parking spot, wanting a midday cup of coffee. Right across the street we spotted the Hyperion on the corner.
-NOTE: Hyperion in Greek mythology was one of 12 Titan children of Gaia.-
When we entered I was impressed with the design and could see that this was a very old building but had been nicely updated. I wondered about the narrow balcony above and thought it may be new. I was wrong, because I saw an old photo displayed, and it is all original and used to be what looks like a tobacco shop in the old days. The full purpose of the balcony is not understood. Coffee here is very good and they also have pastries and other goodies. In the main room seating is limited, but there is an attached room with more space and there are stairs to a 2nd floor. We did not explore it. I would highly recommend this place when visiting here.
