点评：As a frequent traveler I have three rules for stays: Is it safe? Is it clean? Is it quiet? This fairly new property on the grounds of the now-demolished Econo Lodge is a safe, clean and mostly quiet hotel. The positives include a small half-lap pool and 24/7 workout room, and a decent breakfast bar. Peaches and the front desk team are working hard but management needs to hire more support. A reservation snafu nearly caused some issues but was resolved; rooms were not immediately ready and there is no baggage storage but a short wait yielded a room on a high floor in the back of the house— with a view of trees and Mickey D’s. Some I-75 noise but not awful. The bed was comfy and Spectrum WiFi and decent cable channels were good. Soap is Dove. No hair dryer. Plenty of lighting by the way, and excellent shower.
The cons? Location. It’s surrounded by fast food, a truck stop and adjacent to a freeway. A tough walk yields in 20 min the great Miami River bike and running trail system. Public EBikes are 2km away and that was a morning treat. Otherwise it’s a roadside stay built for travelers.
For a budget hotel this is a perfect place. Just get more FOH help and you’ll win over more former Courtyard by Marriott guests like me. That place went downhill fast in 2022.
