点评：An extraordinary surprise awaited us on this evening at our chosen restaurant destination. We were greeted with the utmost care and attention, seated at a favored table and treated to some of the best aromatic Persian dishes this diner has tasted in many years of travel to locations both foreign and domestic. We ordered the lamb shank with basmati and sour cherry rice (I understand it’s one of their specialties) and chicken saffron and beef dish with fava and dill rice, falafel and a most refreshing cucumber, tomato and mint side dish. The lamb was fall-off-the bone tender and succulent and the rice dishes surprising and uniquely delicious, and all for an exceptionally reasonable price. They even have a menu they call the Inflation Fighter menu with wonderful dishes. All those very lucky upper Eastsiders can savor the flavors of this delightfully delicious venue on a regular basis. We were exceedingly lucky to have a companion who had dined here and remembered its unusual menu and suggested it on our final NYC evening
