点评：We planned a trip to New York to see the Macy’s Parade and visit our daughter over Thanksgiving weekend. Our daughter had emailed us several different menus for Thanksgiving. We chose Fred’s of New York on Amsterdam. Dinner reservations at 7:00 PM thanksgiving night. The menu was a 3 course meal, starter, main course with 2 sides and a dessert. We arrived at 6:50 and were seated in the main dining room at 7:00 PM. (Three seatings on Thanksgiving (1:30, 4:00 and 7:00) The decor was very interesting. Reading the Bio the restaurant was named for a dog named Fred. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They were made sure we had plenty of water and coffee without ever disturbing our conversation. We asked for recommendations for drinks and our attendant helped out. I had a Caesar salad, roasted turkey with gravy, garlic mashed potatoes and dressing. Dessert I had pecan pie with whipped cream. The portions were very generous. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was friendly and comfortable. I would definitely add Fred’s to my places for dinner when traveling to New York.
