点评:Belgians have long argued that French fries are a misnomer, claiming Belgium as the true home of the best fries. So here's an opportunity to test that claim, in a Flatiron district Manhattan restaurant that offers a fair degree of Belgian authenticity. The menu has a wide selection of dishes to be found in that country; but moules (mussels) in at least seven styles, fries and a wide range of beers define it. We chose the $22 prix fixe lunch and for our included drinks opted for the glass of house wine in preference to a small Stella or soft drink. That worked well with our choices of soup followed by moules frites and house salad followed by omelette of the day. also with frites. Adding a wine refill for one (the most expensive item on our check), a shared mousse au chocolat dessert, tax and tip, we spent $85 on a lunch for two which hit the spot as we revisited old haunts in that part of town for the first time in several decades. Service, largely by a Frenchman from Nice, was friendly and efficient. We sensed that more French than English was being spoken around the restaurant during our visit, which we took as positive endorsement
