AMAZING EXPERIENCE WITH CHRIS & CASPER
Everglades Outpost Wildlife Refuge的点评
点评：I came from Pennsylvania with my grandchildren specifically to do Chris's Underwater Alligator Tour. We had seen Chris on You Tube with his gators, especially 9-foot Casper, and looked forward to seeing them.
We've experienced many adventures, like Shark Swims, Dog Sledding in the Tetons, Hang Gliding, a 10-Day Rafting Trip in Alaska, etc. But none of them compared to the thrill of being in the water watching a wild alligator casually swim toward you and stopping at the fence barrier, 12 inches from your face, checking you out. Casper did just that, and a lot more for 30 minutes with each grandchild, while Chris, his trainer, (on Casper's side of the fence) explained that Casper, like all the other rescued gators there, were originally termed as "nuisance" alligators and were slated to be killed like thousands of other gators each year. Chris has worked with Casper for 10+ years and Casper trusts that Chris won't hurt him, comes when his name is quietly called, and allows Chris to gently nudge him. But Chris emphasized that Casper IS NOT tame, and IS NOT a pet. He is trained, and is rewarded with food treats.
My grandchildren were very happy with the entire experience and said they had a much better understanding of alligators, and that seeing one that close will be something they will never forget.
