My friends and I flew to Miami to spend a weekend together and one of the things we wanted to do was race. We ended up Signing up for the Rusty Wallace racing experience.
Hurricane Nicole came through Florida three days before the event. We had called ahead to see if we could cancel. They said absolutely not.
Then, three days before the event, we got a text canceling the event. Now, if that was all there is to the story, I would move on, but this is where it gets really interesting.
The contract you sign with Rusty Wallace will state that they can cancel the event from 1 to 72 hours before the event for ANY REASON AND YOU DO NOT GET A REGUND. Not only that, but you must use the experience within 12 months or it expires.
What kind of company does this? I have never heard of any company on the planet THAT cancels something and then keeps you on the hook for it.
I’ve run multiple businesses in my life and would never consider doing that to a customer and I’ve never been with a company that does this.
My advice is that there are many other options and not to use this one.
