点评：So it gets complicated. See, there's this Library style bar. But there's a speakeasy called Bourbon and Branch through a door on the right hand side. And there's a speakeasy speakeasy in the back of the Bourbon and Branch speakeasy.
Wilson and Wilson Detective Agency is a cool, quiet and friendly speakeasy. To get in, you MUST make a reservation (thewilsonbar.com) and time is limited to 90 minutes, although you can stretch it if it's not busy. The drinks are unique and excellently crafted. A few were not to our particular taste, but they were innovative, such as one that used fennel (I know, WTF) but it was really good. Their drink menu is set up like a food menu, with starters, mains and dessert. You don't have to order all three, just pick and choose and all drinks are $18.00. The atmosphere is quiet elegance so chatting amongst friends is easy.
Pro: Innovative and tasty cocktails, a fun menu structured like a case file and a nice decor.
Con: Pricey. The drinks come with added tax and one of those BS San Francisco surcharges for whatever, so figure out the door you're at $25 per cocktail
Quirky: The address is 501 Jones Street but, naw, you can't actually enter at 501 Jones Street. I mean, that would be too easy. Instead, go around the corner to O'Farrell and there's an unmarked door next to The Crosby. That's the entrance to the Library, there's a semi-hidden door on the right to the Bourbon and Branch speakeasy and let them know you're there, and they will escort you to the Wilson and Wilson Detective Agency.
