Bar Harbor and Acadia at it’s best

点评：I have been to Bar Harbor 2 times previously and had written the town off as crowded and touristy. Trying to navigate Acadia Park by ourselves was frustrating, no parking, too may people. Not so this last visit when we hired Woody of Bar Harbor Coastal Tours to take us on a private tour. Hands down it was a wonderful experience.
We started the day by getting a popover at the “Stadium” in town. Woody showed us the Acadia that he obviously loves. He was full of information and very easy to work with on all levels. He would drop us at a site, we would take as long or short a time and he would be waiting for us when we were finished. This worked well with my not so mobile husband.
Woody knows ALOT about the history of park, and the roads especially since detours pop up unexpectedly. We also visited Seal Harbor and the small Dorr museum of Natural History at the University in town. Woody’s van was clean and he was a safe driver. He had snacks and water if needed. The best day!
