点评：Ponderosa restaurants used to be plentiful with good food in the beginning. Do you remember ordering and getting your meal in 10 minutes?? I do.
As years flew by changes were made and the food was less then best. Salad bar was built in and changes to service further dropped appeal. Ordering and getting your food times went up to 20 minutes.
Stores began to drop out until we have a minimum of stores now.
-- We found the Dells Pondorosa, which seems to be the last existing Pondo in Wisconsin. We went on a nostalgic trip to go there.
-- This seems to be an old store, in an old area of town.
The building is in good shape but showing its age. The interior is the same as the first version of the salad bar break out in the Pondo system.
-- Both employees and guests were friendly, one lady helping us find our way through the salad bar items...
-- We had opted to go to the salad bar, I thought the steaks were a bit expensive for what you get.
-- The salad bar was being refreshed continuously, it had a similar selection to days I remembered them in my town.
-- I have this bad habit of getting a salad with chicken wings, and it was good.
we did go back again and tried other treats, everything was good and we ate several helpings.
-- Our trip was very similar to our original dinners when we had a Pondo near home. This trip was just that, a day trip but we had planned to enjoy some of the area attractions, the Pondo visit was planned but basically a side trip.
-- If you are remembering the Ponderosa when they added the salad bar, then you are in the mind set of what this store is like.
The store upon our arrival was decent, it was clean, plenty of food and though some have complained about how good the food was, we didn't have any bad food, it was all good.
-- Figure once your order is in, you are SELF served, at the salad bar there are plates and utensils. Get a fresh plate with every visit to the salad bar.
-- We did not have any real complaints with this store. We were served, the food was plentiful and it was good.
- The store is a bit run down, tables are clean.
If you dont mind a store from the past, then you will be ok with this one.
