We had a visibly filthy rooms. I mean, I rubbed a dry facial tissue in the sink and the tissue was gray with dirt. The tub was even worse. It was visibly filthy and a dry towel that I ran across the bottom of the tub left a ‘clean’ streak in the tub and filth on the towel. Gross.
At the entrance to the hotel, to the right, was an ashtray. It was not cleaned out the entire time we were there. That’s how much they care about the property and the guests staying there. Gross.
The premises is dirty. Period.
The manager did not tell us that they were (quite literally) ripping the roof off right above our room on our last day. Heavy machinery with a lift and pounding and scraping on the roof and debris falling past our window. I have pictures and video alike to prove everything I’ve stated here.
The manager and staff made it very apparent that they have no interest in providing a good experience or even an ounce of hospitality in any sense whatsoever. Don’t expect a greeting or even a smile. Expect a blank stare. I never heard a word come out of either employee I encountered. I felt like I was in a Twilight Zone episode. I’ve never been in a hotel that was like this place. SO uncomfortable.
Oh. If you have a complaint (we had many) you’ll be told the manager isn’t at the property. No excuse. I’m sure he has a cell phone.
The ONE day I spoke with him on the phone he repeatedly TOLD me to come to reception to be moved to another room. I repeatedly told him that I was literally leaving at that moment to attend my nieces wedding. A WEDDING.
I never got a call from him even after asking the staff. The staff just kept telling me he wasn’t on the premises. However, I SAW him at the premises on more than one occasion. Once, when the roof was getting ripped off, he was standing below in the parking lot. Second time, I was out in the front of the hotel. He saw me and went back in.
This is an expensive hotel with the Wyndham name. I never expected such a miserable experience. Stay elsewhere even if you have to travel a bit further. It’s that bad.
DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS BAD SERVICE AND/OR HOSPITALITY BRINGS YOU JOY.
