点评:Lehmann’s Bakery is a true hidden gem in Sturtevant that I’m so glad we found! It’s one of the oldest German bakeries and original bakery masters of THE “Kringle”! Their old world recipes from over 80 years ago are original and still followed here.
Christine and Michelle greeted us as we entered the little shop of sweets! They make everything by hand here and you can tell! From a huge variety of delicious Kringles, cookies, muffins, danish, brownies, cakes, eclairs and much more.
We had an eclair larger than my hand that was decadent with fresh made delicious custard in a cream puff shell with a thick chocolate fudge ganache like icing. Enough to split between 2-3 ppl!
The mini crescents were generously filled. The almond filling was like marzipan and the buttery hand rolled dough was soft and flavorful.
We took home a pecan Kringle that didn’t disappoint. The icing was smooth and nice size pecan pieces along with pecan “shmear” were evenly and thickly spread inside the flaky dough. Michelle was so friendly and a true joy to talk with. She even let me see the bakeshop production floor which was spotless! Great indicator of a well run shop!
We’ve had other popular bakery kringles and baked goods up this way but this has been THE BEST ONE! This is our new must stop baked good place from now on. Thanks so much Michelle for making this a great foodie experience for us!
