Conejito's Place的点评
点评：This will be our last time going,
& I’ve been going since 1976 when I was a kid, my father was very good friends with Conejito.
They have been charging an 18% gratuity, no matter if there’s one of you or 6+ people. You could have lousy service (& we have), but I can’t leave the gratuity that is relevant to the service we’ve had.
They don’t want parties of 5 or more (??!!), they’re not using the one side for diners & the 3rd “newest” (over 25 years old), is never open.
They had plenty of servers the last time we went because 4 of them took our order, delivered our food & cleaned up the table. Two employees asked us to leave because they needed our table, but we still had a pitcher of margaritas to finish. I’m sorry, but we spent over $200 for 6 people, at a cheap Mexican restaurant, but you’re going to kick us out because you need our table? Maybe use the other parts of the restaurant.
I know for a fact that two very good employees that worked for Conejito, were fired after his death. They opened their own restaurants & are successful. I have & will be patronizing those restaurants, more now since this last time at Conejito’s. It’s very sad…..
45 years ago, there weren’t a lot of Mexican restaurants (MONREAL’s & Acapulco were our families favorite), but they’re in abundance all around Milwaukee and surrounding counties.
Check them out before going here…. & if you are a regular to Conejito’s, I’m not sure, but the refried beans are not the same as they were years ago?
