Did not honor my original reservation rate!

点评：The hotel is great but I gave it one star since they didn't honor my original reservation. I've spent at least 5 hours on the phone with Choice Hotels customer service and got the hotel manager involved twice with no resolution. I made the reservation on 9/7 and then received an email that they changed the rate on 9/27. I spoke with multiple agents at Choice Hotels that told me they could see the original reservation and where the hotel changed the rate without my knowledge on 9/12. The customer service agent at Choice, Wenzee, was the most helpful (I spoke to at least 6 agents) and even created a reference number for me. I thought it was all set but since I didn't have my original email they would not honor the original rate. When checking in I sat on the phone for a half hour to get another agent from Choice Hotels to verify they could see my original price but the hotel manager, Jessica, would still not honor the rate. Ann Elise at the front desk was nice enough but also could not help me. She upgraded my room and gave me two $10 vouchers for food. This is not even close to the $250 + difference from the original price to the new price. How can you just change a rate from the original reservation? Very disappointed that Choice Hotels could see the original price in their system and tell the manager that fact and yet they would not honor the price... again, over a $250 difference. If it was just $50 I might have said oh well but that's a lot of money. On top of that I'm in town to take care of the last details after my mother's death.
