点评:It would be tough to have a more relaxing time than a couple of midafternoon hours with friends in the old barn patio of Old Germantown. The original whitewashed barn stone walls of the patio were accented with numerous flower baskets and plantings.
My wife and I were there with another couple to enjoy a couple of craft beers and some food. I’m an IPA fan. Old Germantown’s hazy IPA was quite good. Other’s had a Weiss beer with lemon (a great summer beverage) and Marzen type beers. The four of us shared a 5 piece Sausage Sampler Platter. Our sausage platter had fresh Hungarian, Polish, Slovenian, Italian, and a smoked Hungarian. Cut to share the flavors of each sausage were distinct and excellent. To my liking the fresh Hungarian a spicy bite to it, and the Polish may have been the best fresh Polish I’ve ever eaten. The herbs and spices came through on each sausage.
We are already planning a return to Old Germantown to sample the brick oven pizza.
