点评:It’s was a Friday night, and my wife’s birthday. We were up in eagle river, and heard great things about this place. Unfortunately this couldn’t be further from the truth. We had a 5:30 reservation and arrived at 5:15. We walked in to the cute dark traditional feel of a up north Wisconsin supper club. The man behind the bar never said hello, and didn’t welcome you. Normally not a big deal if you’re busy, but we were the second couple there. I asked him his name and he said his name was Max. I let him know Max we have a reservation at 5:45. He did not respond just walked away. When he came back, he just stared at us which prompted me to order some old fashions. As he was making the old fashions, I asked him how long he’s been bartending. He told me 19 years at that location. Coming from a family of hospitality of over 70 years of experience, hotels, restaurants and catering, this is not the person I would suggest greeting your guest. He needs to go. Clearly burnt out.
Once we were seated at our table our waitress was outstanding. She (red hair forgot her name) should be training all new, and veteran staff how to come across. She gets a 10 out of 10/10.
On to dinner. We ordered two fillets. It comes with soup and salad. The only soup was Shrimp jambalaya, with barely any shrimp, with a beef base watery broth. Not your traditional jambalaya. That is thicker. This was the only soup option on the menu. fYI, jambalaya is not a soup. It’s called jambalaya for a reason. My wife has a seafood allergy, and unfortunately since we were extremely hungry this force my wife to eat two salads while I had two shrimp jambalaya soup’s . Although I did like the different types of butters and cheese that come out with Cristini’s, It wasn’t a wow factor. When we received our fillets, they looked very light grey, with lack of color. It wasn’t an appealing looking steak. I will say this they’re mushrooms or some of the best I’ve ever had. I also had a side of risotto, which I think was OK, minus the red onions that they put into it. You don’t put red onions and risotto. Lack of customer service in the beginning along poor steaks, is why the low rating. $210 for two people after a tip was mind blowing too me for what you got. Never going back here.
