点评：We had a 4:00 reservation which was when the restaurant opened. The host showed us to one of the higher tables with a round glass top set on top of a barrel. I find higher chairs to be uncomfortable and politely asked the host if we could instead sit at a different table. If it was not possible, I expected the host to say something along the lines of “I am so sorry but we cannot because….(whatever the reason was.) Is there anything I can do to make this more comfortable for you?” Instead, he just barked out “No!” I regret that we didn’t just walk out then.
The table was extremely uncomfortable for me. The barrel it was sitting on bulged out (as barrels do) at just the wrong spot for my comfort. I could never get close enough to the table top to eat comfortably.
Then our food was lukewarm at best. The restaurant had just opened, leaving us to wonder just when the food was cooked.
In addition, the regular table which we had asked for instead of the barrel table remained empty until we were leaving. So why did the host refuse to offer it to us?
The one bright spot was our server, Lauren, who was attentive and professional.
