Gold Creek Saloon & Restaurant的点评
点评：While I have been to this location before, I have never actually been in the restaurant. Honestly just thought the saloon part and the store were it. Guess I was not paying attention, and I also feel a little cheated. At an event, we had a free morning, let's go have breakfast! But where? So, while there aren't a lot of choices, we want to make sure we are supporting the local economy not driving into "town" when there are wonderful options right there! So, we settled on Gold Creek, and I am so glad we did. Again, I have stopped into the Saloon part, and had food - very good by the way. - and I wanted Chicken Fried Steak! Ok, we call ahead, as word got out that we were going to GC, well, our party grew from 4 to 14. They were so wonderful.
The restaurant is delightful! It is well decorated for a start, but there is outdoor seating (this time AC was the desire, not fresh air) waterfalls, and all sorts of stuff, it is just wonderful. The staff? top notch! our server didn't even write anything down, and didn't miss a beat.
Portions, definitely lean to the plentiful. Not one person in our group had anything, not even, oh, it was good but I have had better comment, nothing. Just oh my that was good, can't wait to be hungry again to eat the leftovers, and food coma nap imminent. I took 3/4 of my CFS home, had some for lunch the same day, and a wee bite for travel day bfst. AND the last bit for lunch when I got home!! It was amazing. Everything i had hoped it would be. My only critique..more gravy was needed. LOL. oh, there was an adequate amount for the CFS, I just wanted to put it on everything!
So, if you find yourself hungry on 410 around Nile, STOP here!! You will not be disappointed. Also, prices, especially considering how expensive everything is right now, are very reasonable.
