Childers Chinese Restaurant的点评
点评：I would recommend avoiding this place altogether.
The appearance is rundown, although knowing that sometimes you get a great experience in a quirky looking place, we decided to give it a go.
The entrees (dim sims - tiny/watery/rubbery) and prawn toast were not good, but edible. The mains were inedible. The fried rice was brown, dry, and had nothing in it, like it had been reheated many times. The chicken and beef dishes we received were super glossy, but the taste and texture was super revolting. You could literally STRETCH the chicken and the beef, the chicken especially had the consistency of hard rubber. The vegs were either cold, or scalding hot - like they'd been carelessly microwaved. I've already mentioned the 'fried rice.' Everything had the same peculiar flavor, most unpleasant.
Drinks? the table water was so chlorinated as to be undrinkable - not the fault of the restaurant, but a water filter is definitely in order if you're going to serve it straight from the tap. And it was served in old plastic beakers.
It also ended up being the dearest place we'd eaten in, in Childers. Not that we could eat it.
Conclusion: the rundown appearance of the place reflects what's served up in there. Save your money and go anywhere else.
