点评：This is an honest and fair review based on 2 visits for an evening meal and breakfast as we were staying in the lodge next door.
The menu is much the same as the competition in Wilmslow, but they simply cannot cook any of it well. I had a fish and chips which was terrible soggy batter and a handful of chips thrown onto a plate.
As for the breakfast it was no better, they offer 3 choices of egg's, fried poached and hard boiled. It would be better if they removed the egg's from the menu as the chef cannot cook a fried egg and certainly not a poached egg as my poached egg was basically hard boiled. It wasn't even busy with only a handful of customers, so there was no pressure on the chef. Who apparently loves poached eggs, she must just drop them into boiling water and leave them while she cooks the rest of the breakfast!.
When I informed the waiter of the issue with the eggs, he just gave a disinterested sorry and walked away.
I would stay at the Lodge again, but there are far better options for a meal available in the area.
