点评：So, firstly I'll address comments about parking. It is very tight parking, with not a great deal of spaces for this size Pub. Secondly, the signs to say the car parking is monitored are very clear. And as soon as you step foot in the premises, there is a monitor for you to register your car. They are also dotted around the restaurant so can't be missed....That's the end of the good things I'll be mentioning.
Mothers day 2024. Initially all was good as we were shown to our tables, 17 of us in total, over 2 tables. We were given 1 menu per table, so this took time to actually get round to ordering. So some of us decided to go get drinks. The queues were bad, only to be told by the manageress that there was only one working till, as they had been instructed to turn off one till to save money!! Seriously, Mothers day being one of the busiest days of the year. When we eventually ordered, we had about 10 to 15 minutes to wait which was acceptable. But 3 on our table ordered steaks, yet I had to ask for Steak Knives and go find my own condiments. The menu clearly stated Steaks come with Tomatoes, mushrooms and salad. All 3 items were missing with our steaks. When we complained the manageress said 'sorry, but we are busy and we have no salad left'. What has being busy got to do with missing items from your plate, which is stated on the menu, that you will receive. If this was being busy, I dread to think what it's like when they are busier. 2 of the 3 steaks were not cooked to what we ordered and were full of fat and gristle. Other food came much later than our steaks when we had nearly finished ours. My sister in laws Yorkshire Pudding came, but looked like it had been cremated. Hence this was returned as it was not edible. My sons burger eventually came....with guess what....salad, which they claimed they had run out of. I don't think a rabbit would have ate it though as it looked a few days old.
The final straw was my daughters sausage, egg and chips. She asked me to cut the sausage up as she couldn't......and neither could I. The sausage was rock hard on the ends and I couldn't even put my fork into it. I went to see the waitress and showed her this. She seriously gasped in horror and took it away. I stated I was not willing to pay for this. The manageress returned 5 minutes later claiming they ordered different sausages from another supplier so the chef became confused as to how they should be cooked. These looked like they had been put in the microwave for far too long. I received a £3.00 refund for this. And I said there were other issues but 'you live and learn' and wouldn't be returning.
The best part of this experience was leaving to go home.
Will we be returning, no!! Sort the food, sort the tills, sort the chef, get a better menu, and others may decide to give it a go.
My hard earned money will be spent elsewhere.
Beware, attend at your own free will.
