点评:Booked here for a curry cause it gets good reviews. It was just the two of us.
Poppadoms were good, pickle tray was meagre and bland.
We shared a mixed starter- the meerest hint of salad in the middle surrounded by what resembled a microwaveable Iceland Indian platter- most unremarkable.
My wife's king prawn kurma was quite nice as it was slightly less sweet and creamy than usual which to me is a good thing. My king prawn madras was uninspiring- nothing special about the flavours. We shared a mushroom rice (we've had much better) and a garlic and coriander nan (large but not fluffy as we prefer them- more on the crispy side).
Having had 100s of curries all over Europe, the UK, USA and Russia, this one at Everest Spice was the least appealing.
As for the decor, the place needs some TLC as it's a bit run down and unloved.
The toilets are also not the best and the door didn't lock.
I really can't see where the 4 and 5 star reviews come from.
Average would be a compliment imo.
Not expensive but I'd much rather pay more for decent food.

我觉得“一般”都算是夸奖了。
价格不贵,但我宁愿多花点钱吃顿像样的饭菜。
