点评：I first came to Clement when it was relatively new back in 2022. A small pocket of tables indoors and out and polite friendly service. Brilliant pastries.
It’s doubled in size since then and simply cannot cope with the volume of customers. The staff were easily the rudest I’ve ever experienced on the island. Until this year I’d never in decades witnessed poor service in resort. Ever. Passive aggressive and despite 5 serving staff they were completely lacking the basic efficiency to cope with 10 outside tables and a handful indoors. We are talking about the ability to take pastries from a counter alongside 3-4 coffees and bring them to a table within 30 mins. The highlight was a member of my family ordering a ‘cafe con leche’ and a ‘latte’ and being told really, really smarmily that they ‘were the same thing’. Given that she had waited 40 mins to even have her order taken - requesting it in Spanish and then being corrected without a single hint of humour or kindness is incredible. Let alone another order for oat milk in a drink being incorrectly made in whole milk.
Do better. Be efficient. Be friendly. Be professional. You’ve got better competition around the corner at Cafe Noir. It shouldn’t take a member of my family giving up on waiting 40 minutes for an a wildly extravagant order of 3 already baked ensaimada’s and getting them herself from the manager at the counter. If you want full fat patronisation, a 40 minute to place an order, 40 plus minute wait for said order to be delivered and to then be greeted by ‘understand we only have two arms and legs and we are very busy’.
