点评:My wife and I were to stay at this property for two nights on December 26 & 27. When we arrived we were told that the elevator was broken. Since our room was on the second floor, we didn't mind. However, when we headed to our room we found the hallway loaded with high volume fans obviously drying out the carpet on the 1st and 2nd floors. The ones on the second floor were immediately adjacent to our room.
When we occupied our room we discovered that the room had not been vacuumed and that the toilet seat was broken clean through. I reported the toilet seat thinking that at a minimum, one could be swapped from the rooms that were unoccupied.
That night we put up with the incessant hum of the hallway fans. The next morning we went to breakfast and discovered a minimal offering of food, a less than clean serving area, and the waffle machine broken! I went to the desk to ask about speaking to the manager who was not on property. I asked the desk clerk if we could move to another room, and was told there were no rooms available. It was then I learned that the damage wasn't caused by a leak . . . there had been a fire in the building!!!~!
After consulting with my wife, we decided to check out and go to Gloucester to spend our second night We were not given a receipt for our stay and were charged for both nights of our original reservation. I did return to the hotel on the 27th for the express purpose of discussing my concerns with the manager, Ms. Latissa Davenport, but, again, she was not on the property.
Since then, I have tried communicating with Ms. Latissa Davenport to obtain a refund at least for the second night. She has replied in perfunctory fashion and never addressed the refund request. I have entered a complaint with my credit card company disputing the charge as a result.
This property is the only chain hotel within 35 miles of Kilmarnock. It has always charged significantly higher prices than other properties, say, in Williamsburg, for example. It should at least give a minimum of product to the people that need to stay at that facility. It currently does not.
