点评：The hotel seems clean and is located in close driving distance to Virginia Tech, However, some cost-saving measures the hotel has taken impacted our stay. For example, the bathroom did not have hand soap, and when I called the front desk, they said they were out. It’s surprising that a hotel would run out of such a basic necessity. I just read through past reviews and it appears this has been an issue since June 2023. So, I’m not sure if they’re ’out’ or they’ve just decided that it’s not cost effective for them to have hand soap. However, I can’t help but wonder, If they are cutting on such a basic necessity, what else are the cutting corners on?
Also, the walls are quite thin, so noise from neighboring rooms carries easily. The bathroom door also doesn’t have a lock, which may not be an issue for everyone, but could be an issue when traveling with older children. If you’re looking for a fairly well-located place to stay, this hotel might be an okay option—just bring your own hand soap and expect to hear the conversations in neighboring rooms. However, if you have a few minutes to seek alternatives, there are several other hotels also located in close proximity to Virginia Tech, so it might be worth your time to take a look at those.
