点评：Rumbles (fka Timbers) has had its its ups and downs over the years. It is definitely experiencing a major down right now. The food is horrible. Almost inedible. The salads are all lettuce and the falafel on the Mediterranean salad was so dry I almost choked. The dressings taste bad. The salmon and chicken is soaked dry and overcooked and tastes like it came out of a microwave. The fried calamari is soaked in some weird sauce and has a too spicy mayo thing on it. It’s really really bad. Last night because I couldn’t bear ordering a salad I got the kids grilled cheese. It was horrible and the French fries were overcooked. Just horrible. The shrimp scampi pasta is literally inedible in almost sent it back. The cheese dip is literally disgusting (though the pretzel bites, which must have come out of a box) are good.
It’s also really expensive, which we expect and are fine with, but the food is just terrible. We have never understood why this restaurant can’t do what Mad River Barn or the Hyde Away do. Two nights ago dinner for 4 with an employee discount was (20% off) with tip was $280. Last night we ordered two “smash burgers” a grilled cheese and the over cooked and “wet” salmon and with tips and the employee discount it was $190ish.
It’s hard because it’s convenient since we live on the mountain, but it has reached a new low.
It’s also really expensive, which we expect and are fine with, but the food is just terrible. We have never understood why this restaurant can’t do what Mad River Barn or the Hyde Away do.
