点评:There's a very limited menu at this tiny cafe that I chanced by while driving up UT 24 on the way to Capitol Reef NP. What a find! Greeted immediately by an older gentleman (the owner?) working behind the counter. It's a small place, and seemed full of locals. The sole waitperson was kept busy addressing the needs of the clientele - taking orders, re-filling beverages, the usual stuff. But what I noted was her constant smile, unhurried manner (but don't misunderstand, she got the job done), and her banter with other customers. Locals love this place.
What's not to like? The juicy double cheeseburger with fries was a tad over $9 and was delicious. The coffee kept coming. I never felt rushed to clear the table. I felt like I was a local too!
The practice here is to walk to the cash register to pay the fare...but I wasn't given a bill, the waitress remembers what every table ordered. Now, in writing, it seems weird. But then, it just felt friendly.
