Camino Viejo Mexican Restaurant的点评
点评：On a trip through the area we stopped by based on other Trip Advisors reviews. The staff was very friendly and our service was great. The salsa and the seasoned chips with the yellow queso (they also offer white) were fantastic. They offer a large menu from enchiladas and tacos, to seafood and brisket dishes. The majority of our party opted for the make your own combination choices so we could try a variety of items. And one us had the stacked enchilada with the fried egg. Presentation was great on all of our plates but the flavors missed the mark for several of the items. My cheese enchiladas had very little cheese in them and were just rolled tortillas for the first few bites. The elote and charro beans had an unusual vinegar taste to them. The papas con chile were over cooked and very sticky. The sauces were decent and the stacked enchiladas were a big win and the rice was very good. Overall it’s a charming place with great service and average food. We enjoyed it enough we would return but I feel it might be one of those places that some items are just better than others and we’ll have to find that combination.
