点评：I was looking for a place to get a late lunch. A place where a person could sit down at a table with a big glass of ice tea and escape from the summer heat of Texas. It was about 1:15 PM when I pulled into the parking lot. The air conditioning was great. I liked that you ordered at the counter. I had the Friday special, the beef enchiladas. I filled my glass with sweet tea and chose a table. Shortly my food arrived. The enchiladas and refried beans were excellent. There were three well stuffed enchiladas covered in the cheese that strings after the fork when you try to take a bite toward your face. Eventually you separate the bite from the plate and as is appropriate, the first bite tries to burn your mouth. I don't usually like the rice that comes with enchiladas. I often ask for no rice and double refried beans. I was pleasantly surprised with the rice. It had a nice flavor that complimented the encjilada sauce and cheese. I ate it all. I made a happy plate, as mom would say.
I would recommend Lucy's Cafe for lunch. It is spacious. There are tv's. It was a comfortable place to enjoy a sit down meal.
