圣庞沙假日公园酒店的点评
点评：We returned to the Holiday Park for 6 nights in mid August, having previously stayed there in 2019. We were very disappointed to find that Carl, the entertainer, who put the ‘shine’ on the place had left. No splash bingo or entertainment of any kind. The reception staff were still peddling the tale that he had left the previous week without notice even though the truth was that he had left at least a month before. There was no replacement (he would be a hard act to follow) and no apology or reason given. We knew it was basic from our previous stay but it’s now looking very tired. When we arrived late at night we were handed the sheets to make up our son’s bed ourselves even though they knew 3 of us were coming. There is enough space in the apartment but very basic. No kettle. No plug for the sink so we could wash up properly & despite asking for one we never got it. There was an extractor fan on the wall next to the small hob but it didn’t work (hadn’t for a long time by the look of it) and instead left gaps to the outside for insects to enter. The beds had springs coming through in the mattress, making them lumpy & uncomfortable. Bedding & towels were clean. The patio furniture was dirty and discoloured. The reception is bare and unwelcoming. It has plenty of space for seating but there isn’t any. The reception guy just shrugged his shoulders at the suggestion.
The overall impression now is that they are raking in the money( it wasn’t cheap at £160 a night) but are not willing to spend it on maintaining or even improving it. Avoid here and go instead to the Holiday Center directly opposite where the facilities and standard of accommodation are far better for the same price or even less. That’s what we’ll do next time.
