点评:Visited here twice in the last two weeks based on a recommendation and the food didn’t disappoint. The first visit we showed up shortly after noon and most of the sides and the ribs were sold out. My wife had the sliced beef and turkey with sides of potato salad and coleslaw. She enjoys the sliced brisket the most. Coleslaw is vinegar based, but fresh and flavorful. I had pulled pork, chopped brisket, potato salad and baked beans. I really enjoyed the pulled pork flavor and the sides. It comes with a sweet sauce on the side which I used sparingly. It was really good, but quality bbq doesn’t need to be disguised in a sauce.
Second visit we got there closer to 11 am when they open. Fortunately they had ribs and Mac and cheese which we were really wanting to try. The ribs had great smoky flavor and fell off the bone. The Mac and cheese was thick and creamy.
Overall, I think this is the best bbq I’ve had in East Texas. If you’re around Jacksonville make sure to visit JW BBQ early.
