Sam Houston Statue的点评
点评：Sam Houston was another legendary Texan and at 76 feet tall was practically the same height as the Stephen Austin statue in Angleton.
I actually forgot about Sam Houston but it so towered above the 45 freeway that I had time to slow down and exit.
The park and gift shop were just right off the freeway exit. There was lots of parking and no admission to access the park. There were only a couple cars but a large number of students arrived via a school bus.
The statue was just a short walk down a gravel path. Other paths meandered off and batches of students split off so the crowd thinned out the closer to the statue we got. A replica of Sam Houston’s face was near the amphitheater and allowed us to view up close versus from below.
There was a large grassy field in front of Sam Houston and I did have to back up a bit in order to take a full photo. It was a little muddy so keep that in mind if visiting during or after a rainstorm.
The gift shop was quite small so I skipped it.
All in all we spent around 15 minutes here.
