点评:Horrified that I took an international group of colleagues here for a team dinner. The service was awful. The bartender was slow- though there was nobody in the restaurant. He was so busy he was eating a chicken wing or something at the hostess station. We sat around most of the night waiting for water. Our salads which were only 2 out of a party of 15 came after the meal and after requesting them twice. My dish had sat so long under the heat lamps that the sauce was dried on the plate. It was an awful experience. Won't make this mistake again. And the band sucked. Used to like coming here. Not again.
Keep in mind that the waiter seems to have thrown in a couple of untruths.
The waiter, after leaving us with literally nothing but empty plates and classes on the table, would not come back to give us a check. I went and found him, which took me asking the sound technician where he was because we had been at the restaurant for now approximately 3 hours (not intentionally) and wanted to pay our check. When he finally came up he had an attitude.
Then when we asked how was easiest for him to split the check, he told us that we could only use 3 credit cards, "it's on the website." We said ok, and set to trying to figure out how to split a $1K check amongst 5 different countries traveling - meaning 5 different expense accounts. But we did it, and pretty quickly, because again we hadn't planned on having to sit at the restaurant mostly waiting for three hours.
When I once again went to find him, he again copped an attitude when I tried to explain which amount went on which card. He then noticed that we hadn't included tip - that was because we thought we needed to add it. There was no automatic tip on the check for large parties. He then proceeded to tell me that the amounts were wrong and that there was an automatic gratuity of 20% for large parties - which we had already told everyone to tip...but he wouldn't let me get that out. He then said again "it's on the website." So I told him well that wasn't important because we just wanted to pay the bill and it was the worst experience I'd had at a restaurant in a long time. He went from that to instead of apologizing, to "I'll get my manager!" And started to walk off. I was surprised to say the least.
I told him that wasn't necessary and that we just needed to pay the bill and intended to give him 20% - to add it. He spun and walked off. It again took him forever to get the checks in order. So again I went to find him, and ran into him as I was going to find him and he again had an attitude and walked past me as I was trying to explain we just needed to pay and go, and that the table wanted a picture. We had 4 different international offices represented. he was super dismissive.
So when he got to the table and was flinging the two remaining charged card, we had given him cash for one of the them. He was being super unprofessional - so I pulled him aside away from the table because the table was now realizing that he was being rude.
When I pulled him aside, I explained that he needed to calm down. That he needed to breath. That I had seen that he was the only waiter working the whole restaurant (though not super busy - but spread out with absolutely NO support), that understood that he was trying but that we had not expected to have to sit for three hours, that it had been really bad service and that we just wanted to go. I explained that it wasn't about him and that we just needed to wrap it up so that the Americans who would now have to drive three hours, could get home. It was after 9:30 at this point. His only comment was 'Well you came at me." I honestly had to explain again - no - it's just that it had been a really poor experience and that these were international colleagues that we were trying to show a nice time to. That did not matter to him - at all.
So finally he calmed down, was nice enough to take a photo of the group, begrudgingly at first - but we got it. And I tipped him another $20 for that. And we left - thankfully.
The whole table was dismayed by the experience. And when I searched the website today - there are no notes of parties over a certain size getting an automatic gratuity (which we expected), nor a note that only 3 credit cards per table could be used. Again - I was pretty surprised because I was trying to work with the guy. We all were.
And one final note - when I was trying to calm the waiter down, the manager did finally show his face and walked up - said nothing - knowing that the kid was upset, and walked off.
So the previous reviews that talk about the poor management, and trickling down - spot on.
Stay away. The poor kid was trying, but was set up to fail, and was not equipped or supported to deal with it.
