哈灵根欢朋套房酒店的点评
点评：Of the four Hamptons that I’ve patronized during my current trip, this one is by far the best.
I’ve gotten used to / spoiled by contactless check-in at Hilton properties, so not being able to use the app to check in and pick a room was one of the only minor bummers here. That said, the front desk attendant was very friendly and worked to accommodate the room preference that I had mentioned in my reservation, which was great. I also appreciated the soft drink and snack from the case – during my other three stays on this trip, Hilton Diamond status wasn’t recognized. (To be clear, I’ve only recently earned Diamond status, so I’ve been curious to gauge its value.)
The property seems very well kept. My room was in great shape and much more clean than the rooms I’ve stayed during my recent Hampton visits. The area is pretty quiet, too, as it’s away from major highways.
Premium wi-fi speeds were pretty remarkable at around 80 mbps, which only a tiny hint of slowdown when using a VPN.
Breakfast was a step above from most Hamptons, IMHO, since they had a nice batch of biscuits and gravy.
The hotel has a Peloton bike, which is one of the reasons I chose to stay here. However, they installed Delta-compatible pedals rather than dual-sided pedals (SPD / toe cage). Therefore, you can only use the bike if you bring the right cleats, which means not many people will use it. The management should consider swapping on a pair of dual-sided pedals instead.
All in all, a very good stay. Just wish I could’ve used the Peloton :)
