加尔维斯顿岛万豪SpringHill酒店的点评
点评：We stayed here for a couple nights prior to leaving on our cruise. Our family stays in a lot of Marriott hotels. This one is on the way to being outdated. The room was very dark, and so it looked dingy and it was hard to see, but the furnishings and carpets were definitely not anywhere near to new.
We only had double size beds and they weren’t that comfortable. The pillows were terribly lumpy.
It also seemed like our room had been half stocked. I’m not sure if that’s normal or if our room was just kind of half done before we got there. I had to ask for face cloths and more towels because there wasn’t enough for a family of 4 for 3 nights - and of course now they don’t come clean the rooms so you don’t get your towels changed. Things like paper/pen and tea were not in my room. There were no regular plugs in the sleeping area so Forget plugging your phone in next to you at night - there was one old alarm clock that had one usb plug on it, but if you were charging it while using your phone any sound would play thru the clock. Super annoying.
The lobby is nice and the front desk was friendly enough. Breakfast was good with decent selection of hot and cold food. The coffee bar is tucked in an awkward corner and they only have Earl Grey tea - so too bad if you don’t want caffeine.
There was a pool, the hot tub water was green - maybe a bit questionable, I’ll leave it at that.
All in all, our stay was not terrible. But it also wasn’t great. I would not stay here again though anytime soon.
