点评：The owner was sitting at the next table having his lunch, so I asked what he recommended. "Today, I'm having the smoked turkey," he replied, so I ordered the smoked turkey sandwich with a side of okra.
First, the sandwich was piled with meat, and the okra clearly fresh from the fryer. The guy told me they did each order fresh.
The turkey was so good that I didn't bother adding any sauce. But then, I could've made a meal on the okra. Okra lovers know there is a wide variety of quality and cooking. While this may not have been the absolute best I've ever had (that's a lot), it was well up there on the good scale. I ate every piece.
You could also see that this place is a local destination. I heard several conversations from people clearly from Brackettville, but people in uniform from the nearby air base kept coming in as well. Seeing the local clientele is a big recommendation.
