I have gone up for the biggest fish fry in Paris the past couple of years and the place to get the best, freshest, perfectly seasoned and battered catfish is at Southside. You guys do it right. I was there this past Friday and it was the perfect way to end vacation (with the best weather ever!!). Last year I had people salivating as I ate my delicious catfish leftovers at the Nashville airport before going through TSA. Even the leftovers are the bomb! You don't need anything to dip your fish in - no tartar sauce, no catsup, no vinegar - just eat it plain and enjoy that delicious flavor of the fish. That's when you know your fish is a winner. The hushpuppies are quite delightful as well. Perfectly fried and moist - not dry and gritty. My one and only small complaint is that I love grits with my catfish and I can't seem to get them to come around to serve grits as a side, but I guess that's just me!! Come on in and get the best catfish in the neighborhood. You can't go wrong at Southside. Love you guys and a huge round of applause (and maybe a raise) for the chef that does your fish.
